Every Cattle Guard Form has high strength Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer rebar installed at the factory.

With GFRP rebar pre-installed at the factory, installing Cattle Guard Forms is as simple as 1-2-3!

1. – Place The Form

Prepare the area where the cattle guard will sit in the fence opening by digging out a rectangular area nine feet wide by seven feet to a depth of eight inches. This will provide a little extra space on all four sides. Tamp down the ground inside the rectangle so the form has a solid base of compact soil or gravel to rest on.

Dig out a rectangular area to a depth of 8 inches just a bit larger than the form.

2. – Pour The Concrete

Using either a portable concrete mixer, or a concrete delivery truck, begin filling the form with concrete. You will want to use 4,000 psi concrete with a slump (workability) factor of 7.

Pour 4,000 psi concrete into the form. Tap the form with a hammer as the concrete is poured to eliminate any air bubbles or gaps in the form.

3. – You’re DONE!

That’s all there is to it! Block the opening until the concrete has hardened. Pack the soil you removed during site prep around the cattle guard to create a ramp effect around the form.

Take the rest of the day off! You’re DONE!
